Two huge Premier League clubs launch late bids for Conor Gallagher as Sky Sports reporter drops bombshell

Two huge Premier League clubs launch late bids for Conor Gallagher as Sky Sports reporter drops bombshell

Conor Gallagher has 'decided' his next club.

TWO Premier League clubs launched late bids to sign Conor Gallagher as the player has decided which team he will join this summer.

Gallagher has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer.

He's been linked with several clubs, including teams in the Premier League and abroad.

But the Chelsea star has decided to join Atletico Madrid, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, who claims not one but TWO English clubs attempted to keep him in England with last-minute bids.

Solhekol claims 'two other top six Premier League clubs' inquired about the 24-year-old.

On X, he wrote: "Two other top six Premier League clubs asked Chelsea about Conor Gallagher in the past few days. He has decided to join Atletico Madrid. Personal terms agreed and fee agreed. Deadline for decision was last night."

One of the clubs is likely to have been Tottenham, who reportedly expressed an interest in Gallagher.

Manchester United could be the second team, with Sir Ratcliffe favouring homegrown talent over foreign stars.

It looks like Gallagher has played his last game for Chelsea despite captaining them on numerous occasions last season.

He played 37 league games last season, scoring five goals.

Enzo Maresca was asked about Gallagher following his side's 4-2 defeat to Manchester City in the United States.

"At the moment, there is not any update on that," he said.

"The only thing I can say is that he was in contact with the club to find a solution. I don’t think it’s something new.

"In football, every summer, different clubs have some problems with some players, and then at the end, they find a solution and everyone is happy. Hopefully the same can happen in this situation."

If Gallagher does indeed sign for Atletico, then it'll be his first permanent move of his career, having enjoyed loan spells at Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, West Brom and Crystal Palace.
