Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly is ready to sell some of the players who've proved surplus to requirements as the club finds its footing again both on and off the pitch.
Blues manager Enzo Maresca has defied the chaos of Chelsea's scattergun transfer policy to deliver a positive start to the Premier League season. Chelsea are third in the table after 11 matches and have only lost twice. Part of their ongoing recovery plan is to cut loose some of their notorious excess of expensively-acquired and under-used players and the exodus is set to continue in the January transfer window.
Accordnig to Caught Offside's Daily Briefing, Chelsea will listen to offers for a midfielder who joined the club as recently as July 2024 for a fee of £30 million. Manchester United's interest could spur others into action, with Aston Villa reportedly exploring the possibility of a loan with an obligation to buy.

Maresca managed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at Leicester City, where they were promoted to the Premier League together last season. The 26-year-old joined Maresca at Chelsea after 18 years at Leicester and has found his playing time limited in West London.
Dewsbury-Hall has played just 46 minutes in a total of three Premier League appearances this season and has quickly found himself limited to cup football. He's been a fixture in Chelsea's lineup in the Conference League and Carabao Cup but any prospect of returning to favour is fading away as he inches closer to the exit door.
Competition is fierce in the Chelsea midfield. Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer have emerged as Maresca's preferred trio, leaving Dewsbury-Hall out in the cold with Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei and even Enzo Fernandez, whose last start in the Premier League came before the October international break.

He scored three goals and assisted four in Leicester's previous Premier League stint and was a key contributor towards their return last season, scoring 12 times in 41 starts in the Championship.
