Bayern Munich have a new boss in place in the form of Vincent Kompany and he could be about to oversee a summer overhaul of the German club's squad with several big names being allowed to leave.
Kompany has penned a three-year deal at the Allianz Arena after compensation worth more than £10million was agreed between Bayern and Burnley, whom the former Manchester City defender managed for two seasons.
The retired defender took the Turf Moor side up to the Premier League by winning the Championship title, but was unable to keep them in the top flight, with the Clarets relegated back to the second tier.
It looked as though Kompany would attempt to see if he could lead Burnley straight back up into the top flight, but the chance to manage Bayern ultimately proved too good an opportunity to turn down.

The Belgian takes over a side which finished third in the Bundesliga, a colossal 18 points behind champions Bayer Leverkusen, with Bayern also pipped to the runners-up spot by Stuttgart by a point.
Th Bavarian outfit were also dumped out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by eventual winners Real Madrid.
But according to reports, Kompany has joined Bayern on the eve of a potential summer overhaul at the Allianz Arena, with some big names having the prospect of being on the move in the coming weeks.

According to Sky reporter in Germany, Florian Plettenberg, a total of six players will be allowed to depart the club if 'suitable' offers come in for them.
The club are hoping to raise funds for their summer business, with sales 'urgently needed'.
The players who could be sold include Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Noussair Mazraoui.
Of these six, Kimmich is the only one who will soon enter the final year of their current contracts, with Gnabry, Goretzka and Mazraoui all having two years remaining on their deals.
Coman and de Ligt both have three years remaining on their contracts.

With Kimmich having 12 months left on his deal, this summer represents the last chance Bayern have to receive a sizable transfer fee for the defender, or he will walk away for nothing in mid-2025.
No concrete offers have yet been lodged, so it will be interesting to see which players depart the Bavarian side in the coming weeks.
