Bayern Munich agree stunning deal to sign Premier League star in club-record transfer

Bayern Munich agree stunning deal to sign Premier League star in club-record transfer

Bayern Munich have agreed a huge deal ahead of the new season.

Bayern Munich have agreed a stunning deal with a Premier League club to sign a star midfielder.

Vincent Kompany is looking to recruit new talent ahead of the 2024/25 season following his appointment this summer.

And the club are set to complete the signing of Fulham's Joao Palhinha for £47.4 million, according to Sky Sports News.

Bayern will pay an initial £43.2 million to Fulham, with an additional £4.2 million in add-ons.

It will be a club-record sale for Fulham if the deal goes through.

Palhinha had attracted interest from Bayern during the January transfer window but the German giants failed to make a breakthrough.

They kept their interest alive and saw another offer rejected earlier this summer, with Manchester United and Barcelona also thought to be keen on signing the player.

Fulham also turned down a £45 million bid from West Ham United last July.

But Bayern have now struck a deal with Fulham, with Palhinha set to undergo a medical after Euro 2024.

He's set to pen a contract until 2028 at the Allianz Arena.

Only small details are left to be clarified between Bayern and Fulham.

Palhinha is currently with Portugal at Euro 2024 and started his national team's last-16 victory over Slovenia.

He didn't play in Portugal's Euros opener but has started their last three fixtures.

The 28-year-old, who joined Fulham for £20 million in the summer of 2022, made 39 appearances across all competitions last season.

He enhanced his reputation as a midfielder following his performances in the Premier League.
