Arsenal are leading the race for a Borussia Dortmund star that has been dubbed 'the new Jadon Sancho', it has been claimed.
After a summer of big-money additions, including the £105million purchase of Declan Rice from West Ham, the Gunners have made a near-perfect start to the Premier League season.
MIkel Arteta’s side edged past the Premier League reigning champions Manchester City on Sunday to leapfrog Pep Guardiola’s side in the table and go level on points with leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Though the campaign is in full flow, behind the scenes Arsenal’s recruitment team continue to plan for the January transfer window.
And according to German publication BILD, Arsenal are leading the race to sign Dortmund wonderkid Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
The teenager followed Jude Bellingham and Sancho's lead by moving from England to Germany in 2020 with aspirations of a speedy pathway to the first team.
Indeed, after helping Dortmund’s U19 side reach the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals in 2021/22, netting six goals in five games, Bynoe-Gittens, was rewarded with a senior debut against Wolfsburg in April 2022.
Despite having been struck been a series of injuries, the England youth international has since gone on to make 29 appearances for Dortmund, netting three goals and claiming an assist.

Should Arsenal look to make a move for the winger however, they would likely have to pay a hefty transfer fee, with the youngster having recently signed a contract extension that will keep him at Dortmund until 2028
Bynoe-Gittens, who has naturally been widely compared to Sancho on account of his position and nationality, has earned the admiration of several of his colleagues in his short career.
As per the Bundesliga website, on Bynoe-Gittens Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic said: "He's a game-changer in the truest sense."
Meanwhile, team-mate Karim Adeyemi said: "He has no fear. For me, he is one of the best players one-against-one I have ever seen, to be honest. He will be a really good player."

Moreover, upon Bynoe-Gittens making his first start for Dortmund, Julian Brandt said: "His talent goes without saying. He's got everything needed to take a big step with us here."
