THE BIG DEALS OF THE DAY
The transfer window has now closed for clubs in the Premier League and EFL.
It's been a deadline day full of twists and turns. Here's some of the biggest headlines:
SOUTHAMPTON COMPLETE DEAL FOR CALETA-CAR
Another late piece of business, Southampton have signed Croatia international Duje Caleta-Car on a four-year deal from Marseille.
It comes after Jan Bednarek's deadline day move to Aston Villa.
Duje Caleta-Car told Southampton's website: "It was really a crazy day. I'm very excited because I spoke with the coach, I think he is a good coach and of course the team – I watched them against Chelsea and in the games before.
"I know the way they play, they have a lot of young players, so I think I can come good in the group and be with them every day, to progress with them together."
BELLERIN JOINS BARCELONA
Barcelona have re-signed Hector Bellerin on a one-year deal after Arsenal agreed to terminate the Spaniard's contract.
He leaves the Emirates having scored nine goals in 239 games for the Gunners.
THE TRANSFER WINDOW IS NOW CLOSED
The summer transfer window has now closed.
We're still waiting on confirmation of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's proposed transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea, as well as the Blues' loan deal for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria.
BEDNAREK JOINS VILLA ON LOAN
The deals are coming in thick and fast now with just seconds remaining in the window.
Southampton defender Jan Bednarek has joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan.
He is joined at Villa Park by Leander Dendoncker, who joined in a £13m move from Wolves earlier today.
GOMES LEAVES EVERTON ON LOAN
A late departure from Goodison Park.
Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes has joined French club Lille on a season-long loan.
The former Barcelona man has struggled for fitness and form since joining Everton on a permanent deal from Barcelona in 2019.
He now moves to Ligue 1 for the remainder of the campaign.
LIVERPOOL HAVE OPTION TO BUY ARTHUR NEXT SUMMER
Despite reports earlier today suggesting there was no option to buy in Liverpool's loan deal for Arthur Melo, Juventus have now confirmed there is in fact one inserted into the deal.
The Italian club have released a statement confirming the Premier League club have paid a €4.5m (£3.8m) loan fee for the Brazilian and have an option to buy him for €37.5m (£32.3m) next summer.
JAMES PASSES FULHAM MEDICAL, COTTAGERS SIGN VINICIUS
Wales international Dan James has passed a medical with Fulham, with the London club now racing to register the relevant paperwork in time to complete the signing.
James joined Leeds in a £25m from Manchester United last summer but has found his first-team opportunities limited since Jesse Marsch's arrival at Elland Road.
Fulham have been busy on the final day of the window - they've also signed striker Carlos Vinicius in a £4.25m move from Benfica, according to reports.
15 MINUTES TO GO...
There's only 15 minutes left in the summer transfer window for Premier League and EFL clubs.
Will we get some late drama in the final few minutes?
DIENG 'FAILS NICE MEDICAL'
Some surprise news late in the window, Marseille forward Bamba Dieng has reportedly failed his medical at Nice.
Leeds United looked on course to sign the Senegal international earlier today before Nice hijacked the deal.
But the Yorkshire club appear to have dodged a bullet, with reports in France claiming Dieng has failed a medical with the Ligue 1 side.
EVERTON COMPLETE DEAL FOR GARNER
Everton have finally got their deal for James Garner over the line.
The midfielder joins the Toffees on a four-year deal from Manchester United in a transfer worth a reported £15m.
ARSENAL HAVE FINAL BID REJECTED FOR LUIZ
Arsenal have reportedly failed in their attempts to sign Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Gunners tabled three separate bids for the Brazilian, the latest worth £25m.
But Villa have turned down their final offer, according to Sky Sports News.
breaking news
DEPAY STAYING AT BARCELONA
Memphis Depay had been linked with a late move to Chelsea but the Netherlands international has now confirmed he is staying at Barcelona - at least until January.
LIVERPOOL CONFIRM ARTHUR LOAN DEAL
We all knew it was happening, but Liverpool have now confirmed midfielder Arthur Melo has joined the club on a season-long loan from Juventus.
The Brazilian told the club's website: "I'm really, really happy to be here wearing this great shirt with this famous badge that represents so much in world football, it's a dream.
"We talked a lot, and our ideas and visions were a good fit so I'm sure it was the right choice. I'm really happy and highly motivated to continue living my dream on the pitch and giving my all in a Liverpool shirt."
CHELSEA OFFERED BARCELONA STAR DEPAY
Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Memphis Depay, according to talkSPORT.
The Barcelona forward is in talks with the club to terminate his contract and become a free agent.
FOREST IN FOR YET ANOTHER PLAYER!
Yes, you read that right. Nottingham Forest have already signed 19 players this summer transfer window, with Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi also expected to join them before the window closes.
But he might not be their final acquisition of the summer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the Premier League club are also set to sign former Tottenham defender Serge Aurier on a free transfer.
The Ivory Coast international has been a free agent since leaving Spanish side Villarreal at the end of last season.
If both Aurier and Batshuayi join tonight, Forest will have signed 21 players in just one window. Incredible.
BRERETON DIAZ STAYING AT BLACKBURN
Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz will be staying at Ewood Park, according to Sky Sports News.
Diaz had been linked with Premier League sides Fulham and Everton.
But neither club were willing to meet Blackburn's £15m valuation of the Chile international.
MAITLAND-NILES JOINS SOUTHAMPTON ON LOAN
Another Premier League transfer - Ainsley Maitland-Niles has joined Southampton on loan from Arsenal.
The defender has found first-team opportunities hard to come by in recent seasons at the Emirates, spending time on loan at West Brom and Roma.
He now heads to St Mary's for the remainder of the campaign.
Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl said: "Ainsley is at a good point in his career, with a lot of experience already, but he is also still a player with potential, and he is someone who can definitely help us.
"I think he fits well with us and can develop his game even further during his time here. He can also play in different positions, which is always a good thing, and I am pleased to welcome him as part of our squad."
ARTHUR CHANGES TWITTER BIO
We're still waiting for official confirmation of Arthur Melo's loan move from Juventus to Liverpool.
But it is seemingly just a matter of time.
The Brazilian has already changed his Twitter bio location to Liverpool.
We're now just waiting on the club the announce the signing.
