Tottenham have had a bid accepted for a non-league player after missing out on Adama Traore, Luis Diaz and Franck Kessie.
Spurs eyed moves for Traore, Diaz and Kessie this month, but to no avail - with the trio of stars snubbing a move to north London.
Traore is poised to return to Barcelona, Diaz is on the verge of signing for Liverpool and Kessie reportedly wants to stay in Italy.
But it appears Antonio Conte will get a new man through the doors at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of transfer deadline day.
That's according to The Athletic who say Spurs have made a move to sign Ollie Tanner from non-league side Lewes.
The report states the Premier League club have submitted an offer to Lewes for the 19-year-old, which is expected to be accepted.
It's a six-figure bid, with the deal including a sell-on clause.
They've beaten fellow top flight side Brighton to the signing of Tanner, who's also attracted interest from Championship clubs.
Seventh-placed Spurs are competing for a Champions League place this season and are two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
Conte's side, though, have games in hand following Covid-19 related postponements.
He's hoping to strengthen his squad ahead of the second half of the season in view to securing a Champions League spot.
The Italian has missed out on his top targets, but is close to snapping up Tanner.
