The 29-year-old helped Spurs qualify for the Champions League for the first time in three years and was arguably their best player in a topsy-turvy campaign.
He jetted back to his home country after Sunday's 5-0 win over Norwich City with very precious cargo, and he couldn't wait to show it off.
Hundreds of supporters came to see the former Bayer Leverkusen man and he posed with the award before bowing and thanking those who attended.

As he made his way out of the airport, he continued to bow while flanked by security.
You can tell they're all so proud of his achievements. The clip has gone viral on social media and they're amazed at how humble Son is.
One commented: "The man is so humble he returns to a hero's welcome while dressed like Hank Hill."
Another said: "Son is almost walking into his knees as a show of respect."

A third put: "Amazing to see what a megastar he is back home."
While someone tweeted: "We really don’t get just how huge Son is in Korea - even our own supporters don’t understand what a big deal he is."
Son scored twice against Norwich and he was so desperate to get his hands on the Golden Boot, he was asking for updates on Salah.

The Egypt international scored with six minutes remaining in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, and that info found its way to Carrow Road.
It took Salah onto 23 goals after Son had scored his 22nd and 23rd earlier in the afternoon. He was picked up by TV cameras asking: "He’s scored? Salah’s scored?"
He'll have been sweating for those last few minutes, but the duo will have to share the honour of top scorer.

Speaking after the game, Son admitted he got emotional after achieving a lifelong dream.
"It’s incredible to have this award," he said. "I can’t believe it. I got really emotional. I dreamed of it as a child. Literally it’s my in hands. I can’t believe it."
