Sierra Leone's Mohamed Kamara is officially our new favourite goalkeeper after conjuring up a brilliant but unconventional display in between the sticks yesterday.
Kamara, who has played less than 10 games at international level, was in inspired form and kept a clean sheet in the opening group game against an Algeria side containing the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Sofiane Feghouli and Islam Slimani.
He made a total of seven saves at the Stade Japoma and deservedly picked up the Man of the Match award.
But it's fair to say his goalkeeping style is unique.
Desperate to be involved in the action, Kamara regularly rushed off his line and must have had his defenders sweating as he made headers and tackles.
Although his approach wasn't always orthodox, Kamara did pull off a number of superb stops and a 40 second clip of his best bits has garnered over 500,000 views on social media.
He looks and acts a little crazy but already we're big fans of him. Prior to yesterday, Algeria's last blank in the AFCON was in October 2018.
Kamara, one of four players with that very surname in the Sierra Leone starting XI, is still plying his trade in his native country with East End Lions.
And when presented with the Man of the Match trophy, the 22-year-old burst into tears while giving his post-match interview to beiN Sports.
It meant absolutely everything to him and fans are really getting behind Kamara.
Sierra Leone are playing in their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1996 and have been placed in Group E.
Their next game is against Ivory Coast on Sunday, before they take on Equatorial Guinea in their final group game on 20 January.
