Manchester City defender Kyle Walker was offered to another club ahead of his loan move to AC Milan but they declined and said it was 'Trent Alexander-Arnold or nothing'.
The 34-year-old, who has featured in 18 games for the Citizens this season, has joined Serie A side AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.
Having struggled for Pep Guardiola's side of late, England international Walker is determined to 'redeem himself in the face of his deterioration at City', according to a report from MARCA.

The publication claim Real Madrid were offered the chance to sign Walker on a six-month deal and from the outside look in, it seemed a reasonable prospect given their shortage of right-back options.
But it is said the Spanish club turned down the approach as there was only one name on the agenda – Trent Alexander-Arnold.
"With the transfer market open, the club usually receives a multitude of offers, but it doesn't seem like they'll change their tune," the report says. "They set the path and it's rare for them to deviate from it."

With his contract at Liverpool ending in the summer, Alexander Arnold has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, although it was recently suggested Madrid had abandoned their plans to sign the 26-year-old.
Walker, meanwhile, has taken the 32 shirt at AC Milan in a nod to David Beckham, who wore the number during his short spell at the San Siro.
Taking to social media, the versatile defender wrote an emotional letter to Manchester City after a stint in which he won 17 trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League.
He said: "Manchester City… where do I start? Signing for this incredible club in 2017 was a dream come true. Seven years later, winning 17 trophies, including the Champions League and the famous treble is something I could only have dreamt as a child.

"To play alongside so many top players has pushed me to be the best version of myself, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity I’ve had at the Etihad."
Walker continued: "A huge thank you to so many people, the coaching staff, the kit men and all the backroom staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes. You make every day enjoyable and provide the platform for us to perform at our best.
"To my teammates, from the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. Thank you for the great memories and for all the success we have shared together. You are friends, but also family for life.
