Sadio Mane has reportedly agreed a three-year deal with German champions Bayern Munich.
Mane, 30, still has one year remaining on his current contract with Liverpool but has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.
Mane has refused to comment on questions about his long-term future but said he would give a 'special' answer after the Champions League final, which the Reds lost 1-0 to Real Madrid on Saturday.
Reports on Twitter claim Mane has now agreed to join Bayern Munich and that the Bundesliga champions have opened talks with Liverpool over a summer transfer.
"Sadio Mane has agreed a three year contract with Bayern Munich. PSG and Barcelona were also interested," tweeted Liverpool account DaveOCKOP.
"He has spoken directly to Julian Nagelsmann. Now up to clubs to agree a fee.
"Liverpool and Bayern Munich began official talks yesterday."
Mane joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 and has gone on to win the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and League Cup with the Reds, scoring 120 goals in 269 appearances for the Merseyside club.
He also captained Senegal to the Africa Cup of Nations trophy in February.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League final, Mane refused to confirm if he is planning to leave Liverpool.
"Honestly I think the answer I can give you now is I feel very good, and I am fully focused on Saturday's game, that is the answer I must give before the final," Mane said.
"But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It's special. I will give you all you want to hear then.
"I love what I am doing and I sacrifice myself all the time; I am working hard every single day on the pitch and in the gym and I get better and better, that's the most important. I am trying my best to help the team."
Speaking before the defeat to Madrid, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said he "couldn't care less" about the reports linking Mane with Bayern Munich.
"This is the wrong time to talk about that. Wherever Sadio will play next season he will be a big player, definitely," said Klopp.
"Sadio is in the shape of his life, for sure. (He is in) Brilliant shape, it is a joy to watch him.
"We ask of him a lot this season, football asks of him a lot — lot of finals. I couldn't care less in the moment. We're all fully focused on the game, Sadio is fully focused on the game.
"No concerns, it's completely normal. It's not the first time in my career that before a game rumours about Bayern Munich come up, but no problem at all."
