Real Madrid are plotting contract extensions for Vinicius Jr and Eder Militao that would see the release clauses for both players rise to a staggering €1bn, according to stunning reports.
Vinicius, who is under contract with Madrid until 2024, has been in stunning form for Los Blancos and established a fruitful partnership with Karim Benzema this season.
The 21-year-old Brazilian winger has been subject to transfer speculation linking him with Premier League trio Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United.

However, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti considers Vinicius as a crucial part of his plans going forward, with the La Liga outfit ready to fend off interest from rival European clubs.
Militao has also enjoyed a successful season under Ancelotti and forged a reliable partnership with David Alaba, who arrived on a free transfer from Bayern Munich last summer.
The 24-year-old Brazilian defender has been heavily linked with Chelsea, with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta all out of contract for the Blues in the summer.

According to Goal, Madrid want both Vinicius and Militao to commit their long-term futures to the club amid growing interest from European clubs.
Both Vinicius and Militao, who is under contract until 2025, are believed to earn around €3.5m in wages at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid’s new deals for the two Brazil internationals would include release clauses of £837m (€1bn) similar to the one included in Benzema’s contract.
Vinicius and Militao would be under contract until 2027 if they agreed to new terms and their respective salaries would rise to ‘reflect their importance to the squad.’

“He trusts us and he gives us the confidence we need. He’s very thorough, which means I can play well. He talks to us a lot, and because we’re very young, sometimes just talking is really nice.
“We also watch a lot of videos and we play a lot, which he does with me, Militao, Rodrygo and [Eduardo] Camavinga, who are the younger players and the ones who need this attention.”
Militao, who was signed from Porto in a £42.7m deal in 2019, has made 35 appearances for Madrid this season as Los Blancos sit six points clear at the top of La Liga.
Ancelotti has favoured the Militao and Alaba partnership following the departures of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos to United and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
