Erling Haaland has barely settled at Manchester City but Real Madrid are looking to lure him away from the Etihad club already.
According to reports, Madrid have already identified the Norway star as the ideal replacement for Frenchman Karim Benzema and they plan to bring the new City man to Spain in 2024.
Despite only joining City last week, discussions about his future has already begun due to a clause in his contract with the English champions.
Spanish news outlet AS have reported that Madrid will chase the striker in the summer of 2024, when Benzema’s contract will be nearing its end.

It has been claimed that Haaland has a clause in his City contract that becomes active in two years. The clause will allow him to discuss a future away from the Etihad stadium if an offer of £128 million is submitted to the club.
And it looks like Los Blancos will be looking to take full advantage of the clause and lure Haaland to the Spanish capital.
Florentino Perez, the Madrid chief explained why the club did not pursue Haaland this summer.
He said: “Mbappe deal didn’t create any problem with Haaland deal, absolutely.”
“We have Benzema, so it was impossible to have him with Karim. We can’t sign Haaland to stay on the bench. Haaland is an amazing, fantastic player.”

Upon his arrival, Haaland told the club about the reasons behind him choosing to follow in his father’s footsteps and play for the Blues.
Haaland said: “I was born in England, I've been a City fan my whole life.”
“I know a lot about the club. I think in the end, two things; I feel at home a bit here. Also I think I can develop and get the best out of my game at City.”
Haaland also spoke about his excitement of playing at the Etihad as a City player.

He said: “I've been a couple of times before, watching games.”
“I like it, it's beautiful, I like the colour. I played there, a big huge stadium, and I'm looking forward to playing there [with City].”
The signing of Haaland will for sure add more power to Pep Guardiola's already deadly attacking options. The club will hope their new star striker will finally catapult the club to European glory. The Champions League remains the only missing piece in City's fast growing trophy cabinet.
