The VAR decision to award Brighton a penalty following a shirt pull by Tottenham's Dejan Kulusevski on Thursday evening sparked the ire of some Premier League fans.
The Swede was penalised during Spurs' 4-2 defeat at the Amex Stadium, which initially saw Ange Postecoglou's side go 4-0 down before attempting to stage a late comeback.
He was booked for pulling the shirt of Danny Welbeck, an offence which VAR deemed was worthy of a spot kick to the hosts.

Joao Pedro stepped up and converted the penalty, before scoring another spot kick in the second half to fully take the game away from Spurs.
But Everton fans were left furious at the VAR decision - given a very similar incident involving Kulusevski saw no penalty given to the Toffees last week.
On that occasion, Kulusevski was seen pulling the shirt of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana - albeit in a different direction - but VAR deemed that offence not worthy of a spot kick.

You can see the comparison between the two incidents below.
Taking to X (Twitter), one Everton fan fumed: "Welbeck went down, Onana didn't... lesson learned. Sadly you can't stay on your feet."
Another said: "There's no valid reason the Onana one wasn't given."

A third added: "The consistency really annoys me!!! That's what annoys everyone. Why should players have to throw themselves to the ground?"
Everton, meanwhile, were involved in more penalty drama on Wednesday evening during their 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at Goodison Park.
A cross from City defender Nathan Ake was blocked by the arm of Onana, with a spot kick awarded that Julian Alvarez subsequently converted.
Speaking after the game, Toffees boss Sean Dyche said (quotes via Reuters): "He's not putting his arm up to save it, he's literally jumping in to try and block the ball.

"How that is given as a penalty is bizarre in my world, but I must be from a different planet.
"Tonight the linesman gives that and he's 18 yards away, so I don't know what is what anymore. Who knows?"
