Arsenal fans have predictably made the same claim after Tottenham star Son Heung-min's crucial miss against Manchester City.
The midweek clash is likely to prove pivotal in deciding the identity of this year's Premier League title winners, with a victory taking City two points ahead of Arsenal with a game to play.
The first half was nervy for both sides, with neither able to break the deadlock at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Erling Haaland finally settled City fans down six minutes into the second half, tapping home from yards out to give Pep Guardiola's side the advantage.
The Golden Boot winner-elect sealed the deal in stoppage time from the penalty spot after Pedro Porro's mistimed challenge on Jeremy Doku.
But five minutes before then, Son missed a crucial chance to put Spurs level after breaking the offside trap.
However, when presented with a one-on-one opportunity against City substitute goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, the forward's shot was saved by the leg of the German shot-stopper.
And given that the miss prevented Spurs from an equaliser that could have sent Arsenal one step closer to the title, Gunners fans predictably made similar claims on social media.

One wrote: "Son missed that on purpose, I won't be convinced otherwise."
A second said: "Son missed that on purpose. Proper Spurs man!"
A third added: "Son has just given Arsenal their Iheanacho moment. Now you know how it feels."
A fourth admitted: "I have just scissor kicked my TV. Son missed a 1v1."

And a fifth said: "Son missed the chance of his name being sang by Arsenal fans for life."
Of course, it goes without saying that with Spurs needing all three points to maintain their hopes of Champions League football, their players were desperate to return back to Europe's top continental competition - and the devastation on Son's face after the miss said everything.
And other non-Arsenal fans pointed out the excellent save from Ortega, with Son's shot heading for the bottom left corner as he looked for his 18th goal of the campaign.
Meanwhile, City boss Pep Guardiola collapsed onto his back after the miss - with his emotion telling the full story of a chaotic second half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Heading into the final day of the Premier League season, City sit on the top of the table - two points ahead of closest challengers Arsenal.
