Sheffield United captain Anel Ahmedhodzic has publicly questioned footage of his collision with Jarrod Bowen by saying it was "edited" to make it look like West Ham should have been given a penalty
In the dying embers of Sunday's Premier League clash between Sheffield United and West Ham, an incident involving Ahmedhodzic and Bowen raised plenty of eyebrows amongst fans and pundits.
After a cross came into the box, Ahmedhodzic appeared to wrestle Bowen to the ground after losing track of the ball but, to the surprise of many watching at home, referee Michael Salisbury allowed the game to carry on.

It was, of course, a huge post-match discussion point in the TNT Sports studio. Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole were convinced it should have been a penalty.
"Absolutely a penalty," Cole said. "Last minute of game have to keep your composure, he realises and the panic kicks in, he puts his arms all over Bowen. Can't see how they didn't look at that. That's a rugby tackle."
Ferdinand agreed, adding: “[Robinson] is not looking at the ball — he’s not even looking at Bowen. He’s got his hands on him. His back is to play, and we can see his number with the ball coming from the opposite side.

"I don’t know how they haven’t looked at that and gone, ‘that’s a stonewall penalty’. If they called that [a penalty], this place would have erupted.”
But on Sunday night, Sheffield United defender Ahmedhodzic played down the incident. In fact, he accused the TNT punditry team of being "clearly biased" before suggesting replays showing the suspected foul had been "edited".
His post on X, formerly Twitter, read in full read: "Clearly biased. You can see at the unedited footage where he pulls me down with him which makes me lose sight of the ball. Obviously it’s been edited to make it look like a pen to West Ham."
Ahmedhodzic would later post a picture of the incident involving Bowen on Instagram, with the image being accompanied by WWE commentary.

West Ham manager David Moyes made his frustrations clear in his post-match interview. “I’m certainly not going to talk about any referees. I don’t want to get myself in trouble,” he said.
“You should ask the referee [about these decisions]. We’ve got to a stage now where we are settling for a level of officiating where we are all shrugging our shoulders and saying: ‘OK.’ I’m shrugging my shoulders again, we don’t know what they are going to do.”
