New data has revealed how much each member of the Premier League's 'big six' has spent per point in 2023 - and it makes for grim reading for some.
Liverpool are the current Premier League leaders heading into the weekend's fixtures, one point ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
Aston Villa are one point further back in third place, having beaten the Gunners 1-0 at Villa Park last Saturday. Manchester City complete the top four, having only won one of their last five matches.

Villa are the only club above who are not part of the so-called 'big six' - a term many would claim is redundant these days.
Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea are the other 'big six' clubs, with the latter stranded in 12th place having won just five of their 16 games this season.
TikTok user @btecburn has done the maths on how much each of those six sides has spent per point in 2023 - which means the January transfer window is included.

Liverpool are in sixth position in the list - which ascends upwards in terms of money spent - having splashed out £2.6 million per point in the 2023/24 season on their midfield rebuild and the January signing of Cody Gakpo.
Manchester City, meanwhile, are in fifth, with £2.9 million spent for each of their 33 points.
Rivals Manchester United are next, with £3 million spent per point. Erik ten Hag's side were restricted mainly to loans in January, although did splash out over £120 million combined on Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount in the summer.
It is Arsenal who take the bronze medal, having spent £3.8 million per point after big-money deals for Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber.

And Spurs are in second, with each Premier League point this season for Ange Postecoglou's side each arriving at the cost of £4.25 million.
While those sides are relatively similar in terms of figures, things take a major turn when Chelsea get involved.
Todd Boehly's ownership group splashed out over £450 million on transfers in the summer, including deals for Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku and Axel Disasi.

Their £110 million move for Moises Caicedo broke the British transfer record, while Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson cost over £30 million each.
In January, meanwhile, the Blues paid £105 million to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, and £88.5 million for Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.
It is no surprise, therefore, that Chelsea top the list, having spent an incredible £20.4 million per Premier League point this season.
The Blues will be desperately hoping to cut the gap to the other teams come May and ensure that they are playing European football next season - but they have a tough task on their hands.
