Michael Oliver is banned from officiating one Premier League side amid a PGMOL investigation into abuse he received following a decision made during Arsenal's 1-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.
The long-standing Premier League official made the decision to send off Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly for serious foul play after he fouled Matt Doherty during the first half.
The decision was highly controversial among fans, and he was criticised by several ex-players and pundits including BBC Radio 5 Live's Alan Shearer.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said he was 'absolutely fuming' with the decision - though there were some fans who felt the call was understandable, if harsh, after a new angle of the incident emerged.
The PGMOL released a statement on Sunday confirming that an investigation had been launched after 'abhorrent' threats were made towards Oliver and his family in the wake of the match at Molineux.
The statement added: "The police are aware, and a number of investigations have commenced. We are supporting Michael, and all those affected, and are determined to tackle this unacceptable behaviour."

It is as yet unclear whether Oliver will continue to officiate matches involving Arsenal this season as a result of the investigation and the threats he has received.
Like several referees who operate in the top flight of English football, Oliver is already banned from officiating one other club in the Premier League.
The 39-year-old, who was born in Ashington, is a Newcastle United supporter and therefore cannot officiate any competitive matches in which the Magpies or their fierce rivals Sunderland are playing.

Oliver told the Daily Mail: "We have to declare if we have an allegiance to any club or if a family member works at a club.
"You can't do any match involving that team, and I can't do Sunderland, either, for obvious reasons."
Oliver is not the only referee that is kept away from certain Premier League matches.
Peter Bankes and Darren Bond both do not officiate matches involving Liverpool or Everton as they were born in Merseyside, while Craig Pawson is a Sheffield United fan and therefore cannot officiate either the Blades - who were in the top flight as recently as last season - or Sheffield Wednesday.
