Daniel Sturridge was corrected by Sky Sports presenter David Jones over a comment he made at half-time during Liverpool's 2-0 win over Manchester City.
The Reds moved a step closer to lifting the Premier League title after goals from Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai.
They are now 11 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table, though Mikel Arteta's side do have a game in hand.

Both of Liverpool's goals were scored in the first half, with Salah finishing off a well-worked corner routine with the aid of a deflection before Szoboszlai made it 2-0 with a left-footed effort into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
City almost halved the deficit when Omar Marmoush finished well off the post, but the goal was chalked off for an offside in the build-up.
Pep Guardiola's side were without the services of Erling Haaland due to a knee problem, with the Norwegian forward also having missed City's 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in midweek.

Before the match resumed, Sturridge was asked whether City could get back into the contest and replied: "They've been prying away, they've been giving themselves opportunities. But when they're getting crosses in the box, there's not that presence in the box to get on the end of it. So we might end up seeing Haaland at some stage in the game."
Jones interjected: "Well, not Haaland today, because he is of course missing. But maybe there might be one or two options that they can turn to, like Jack Grealish."
The absence of Haaland had been covered in the build-up, though fans think the comment will simply have been an oversight from Sturridge - as fellow pundit Roy Keane had analysed how City needed a player like the Norwegian in the second half in the previous segment before Jones turned to the ex-Liverpool striker.
He said: "You need someone in there as well. They're missing Haaland.

"They have been putting some balls in the box, quality play, but listen, they haven't got a real striker."
