Several Premier League clubs are all competing to sign one of Euro 2024's most impressive break-out stars as the summer transfer window hots up.

Major international tournaments always add to the spice of a transfer window, with players from all competing nations given equal opportunity in the spotlight to make their mark.

Players such as James Rodriguez, Manuel Locatelli, and Aleksandr Golovin all secured moves following impressive tournament showings, and one Italy star is on a lot of shopping lists following his performances so far.

Defender Riccardo Calafiori has emerged as a target for Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, and Chelsea according to reports, despite Juventus currently leading the race for the Bologna man.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed Arsenal's interest, while Journalist Nicolo Schira has claimed Chelsea have sent scouts to Germany to watch the 22-year-old this summer.

Tuttosport have also reported Tottenham's interest, while Liverpool could use Bologna's interest in Sepp Van den Berg to get a deal over the line.

Despite Italy's staggered start to the tournament, Calafiori has been a breath of fresh air at the back for Italy and has been their standout performer in the group stages.

Filling the shoes of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini is no easy task, but Calafiori is doing a good job so far and has received high praise from some Italian legends.

Speaking to Sky Italia via talkSPORT, Alessandro Del Piero said, "Calafiori was never scared, it looked like he played 70 games for Italy."

Former England manager Fabio Capello also praised the mentality of the defender, who played a major role in Italy's last-minute equaliser against Croatia on Monday.

"I didn't think someone making his debut could show this much personality. No fear," Capello added.
