Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was physically assaulted during a 'violent' armed robbery at his home in Castelldefels, Barcelona on Monday morning, according to reports.
At least four men are alleged to have entered the property at 1am, according to Spanish publication El Pais, who report that the thieves climbed into the garden and threatened both Aubameyang and his wife with firearms and iron bars.
They proceeded to intimidate the victim and his wife with weapons until they managed to open a safe. It is reported that several jewels were taken.
According to several witnesses, the men then fled the scene in a white Audi A3.

Aubameyang and his wife have since submitted statements to local police, who are now trying to identify those responsible for the armed robbery in Castelldefels.
It was widely reported last week that Premier League outfit Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sign Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona in a deal worth £18 million.
According to Barcelona insider Gerard Romero, the Gabon international was pictured at the airport with the deal to Chelsea reportedly close following ongoing discussions between both parties.
Unfortunately, robbery's involving professional footballers have become a common occurrence. Last month, Ajax captain Dusan Tadic was injured in a violent armed robbery near his home in Amsterdam.

Dutch outlet De Telegraaf claim Tadic was approached by two armed men with helmets on near his home in Van Eeghenstraat, in the south of the city.
The former Southampton player attempted to flee once he realised that something was wrong but was caught after a short chase.
A scuffle ensued with the two assailants, who were possibly looking to rob Tadic's watch that he was wearing at the time, the report claims.
Tadic managed to open the visor on the helmet of one of the men and slap him.
