Liverpool have contacted the representatives of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembélé over a potential switch to Anfield this summer.
According to Diario Sport, Jugen Klopp is keen to bolster his attacking options, with Sadio Mane being linked with a move away and Mo Salah still stalling in his contract negotiations.
Klopp has identified Dembélé, who could be available in this window as Barcelona look to sell assets to fund stadium renovations and pay deferred wages, as a potential target.

The Frenchman’s entourage have been approached by the Merseyside club, who have enquired about his intentions this summer.
Dembélé’s agent has announced that no deal has been agreed or signed with anyone at this present moment.
The explosive winger arrived in Catalonia in the summer of 2017 for a staggering £89 million- plus £34 million in add-ons- from Borussia Dortmund.

However, despite the hefty fee and the abundance of talent he displayed in Dortmund, this hasn’t been translated in Spain, with several injury problems plaguing his 5 years in Barcelona.
These recurring injury issues have sidelined him so much so that he has made just 102 La Liga appearances across five seasons, scoring 19 goals.
Despite a mini resurgence under new boss Xavi in the second half of this campaign, it’s understood that he could be made surplus to requirements this summer.
Klopp is set to try and take advantage of this situation and move in for the 25-year-old in this window.

This rumour could well develop in the coming weeks, in the aftermath of tonight’s Champions League final, with more clarity over Salah and Mane’s futures likely to surface.
