Fans can't believe Piers Morgan named Oleksandr Zinchenko in Arsenal's all-time XI

Morgan has already claimed Zinchenko could win Premier League Player of the Season, and now he's ignored Ashley Cole and Nigel Winterburn.

Piers Morgan has once again caused controversy with his footballing opinions, this time naming two of Arsenal's current side in his all time XI for the club he supports.

One has to wonder how Morgan has any time to form opinions, when he's too busy cleaning Cristiano Ronaldo's football boots with his tongue.

But the former presenter of Good Morning Britain always finds ways to make things all about himself, and usually his good pal Ronaldo.

After the World Cup final he complained about how much Lionel Messi was celebrating, as if he'd ever have shut up if Portugal had been the ones to win.

Recently, Morgan has turned his attention to his beloved Arsenal, who he hated during their time as perennial losers but has now come back to loving again.

He reckons that full back Oleksandr Zinchenko could be named as the club's, and even Premier League's, Player of the Season, come the end of the campaign.

And that's not the only plaudit he's giving the Ukrainian, naming him in his all time Arsenal XI, despite only playing for the Gunners since last summer.

Mine beats it:

Fans were not impressed with the sight of the former Manchester City star in the side, with many questioning how he's in it above Ashley Cole, often considered the best left back of the Premier League era.

"Tell me Ashley Cole refused to do an interview with you without telling me Ashley Cole refused to do an interview with you," one supporter joked.

"Is everything you do for clicks? No serious football fan wouldn’t have Coke over Zinchenko. Zinchenko has played less than 40 games for you," asked a second.

A third acknowledged how things went between Arsenal and Cole but said, "Ashley Cole has to be there, as much as it pains me to say it. He’s the last player England produced that was inarguably the best in the world in his position."

"I stopped reading at Zinchenko," replied a fourth.

"Zinchenko over Ashley Cole. No one can take this guys opinions seriously," added another.

Mentioning the current star's limited time at the Emirates Stadium, a sixth fan said, "Zinchenko Arsenal's greatest ever left back? He's not even been at the club a year."

And finally someone accused Morgan of leaving Cole out for reasons outside of football, posting, "Piers, as always, has an axe to grind. No Fabregas or Cole is ridiculous, however their careers at Arsenal may have ended..."

Zinchenko has clearly been loving life in north London, but it's still no excuse for picking him ahead of Cole, even if the former England star did leave for Chelsea.

As well as Cole, Morgan easily could have picked Nigel Winterburn at left back, with the former full back winning three league titles and a European trophy with the Gunners.

Other fans couldn't believe that Bukayo Saka had made it into the list either, with Marc Overmars and Freddie Ljungberg amongst the replacements people felt deserved to be in the side.
