A Plymouth Argyle fan climbed on the stand of the away end at Ipswich Town's Portman Road on Saturday.

Argyle, who are fourth in League One, lost 1-0 away from home courtesy of Sam Morsy's 37th minute strike.

But at least one of the travelling fans had an absolute ball. For reasons unclear, Argyle supporter Mattie Johnstone decided to be an absolute daredevil and managed to get on the poles and then made his way to the roof booms holding the ground together.

The game was going on and while everyone else in the away end were in their seats, the fan was cheering his team on from above.

We're not sure if the man in question ever got down, but for his sake we hope did at some point because it didn't look too safe up there.

The chap, who almost definitely had a fair few beers on the journey to Ipswich, ended up going viral on social media.

The reaction to his stunt was mixed, if we're being totally honest.

My new hero up the bastard greens
Met this guy travelling up to match today. No idea how he could have got up there...he could hardly stand on the train :sweat_smile::sweat_smile::clap::clap::clap:
funniest bit was the 2 stewards who sat and watched him do it hahahaha
Unbelievable patter that
Outstanding work!

The man himself has reacted to his new found viral fame and not much else can be said really.

Just got home. Missus is seething. Gone viral. Up the Argyle
