One Football Manager player took celebrations to a new level, when he let off flares from his bedroom after winning the Scottish Premiership on the game.
Jamie Towers, a 20-year-old from Ayr, helped Hamilton Academical to a famous league title on Thursday night, beating rivals Celtic to the post by a single point.
"It was a really close title race," Jamie told SPORTbible.
"It came down to the the last day of the season and Celtic lost to Rangers at Ibrox. I had to beat Aberdeen and we eventually won 2-1. It was mad."
Moments after securing the historic victory, Jamie decided to let off a red flare in dedication to his team's efforts.
"I just thought I'd do it for a laugh," he continued. "When I was doing it, my next door neighbours started to cheer!"
Jamie, who says he plays around four or five hours of Football Manager a day, decided to post pictures of his celebrations on social media, where it received thousands of likes and RT's.
"I was really surprised by the reaction." he said, just hours after the pictures were posted.
Jamie isn't the only lad to take his Football Manager save seriously.
Back in 2018, we spoke to 21-year-old Joshua Unsworth, a university student from Leicester who became an internet sensation after a picture of him sitting on a ladder went viral.
Unsworth, who describes himself as a Football Manager addict, played around 5 hours of the game a day, juggling a university degree with a career at Juventus.
He secured a win against Inter Milan that lifted spirits in the Unsworth household, but things were about to take a turn for the worst.
A rather upsetting set of circumstances meant that his player was sent off during a league game. The opposition scored the penalty and his Juve side dropped vital points in the title race.
Shaking with anger, Joshua decided to take matters into his own hands. After a series of complaints to the Football Manager authorities, the 21-year-old received a touchline ban for his actions.
In true 'I'm addicted to Football Manager' fashion, Unsworth decided to sit in the stands - or in this case, an 8ft ladder in his bedroom.
"I'm currently at Juventus in the year 2038," he told SPORTbible. "I've been here for five seasons. I've won the league five times and the Champions League twice.
"But I kept complaining about decisions in the press conference and after so many warnings, I received a ban!"
Never change, Football Manager fans.
