Qatar's suitability as a host country has been questioned by many, as well as the fairness of the FIFA bidding process and numerous allegations of bribery between the Qatar bid committee and FIFA members and executives.
Back in 2014, former president Sepp Blatter even said it was a "mistake" to choose Qatar to host the tournament
In an interview with the Swiss broadcaster RTS, Blatter said: "Yes, it was a mistake of course, but one makes lots of mistakes in life.
"The technical report into Qatar said clearly it was too hot but the executive committee – with a large majority – decided all the same to play it in Qatar."

In the above trailer, being a member of FIFA is described like being "in a secret garden" and there is also a so-called "unspoken code" that you can do whatever you want.
Wire fraud, money laundering, racketeering and tax evasion are other subjects mentioned in the clip.
The Netflix Twitter account posted the trailer alongside the caption: "For decades, FIFA united the globe through football. But behind the game, craftier schemes were at play.
