Lionel Messi has sent social media into meltdown after posting his bizarre pizza order on social media.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Messi 'did not feel comfortable' enough to participate in Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match against Bolivia.
The subject was made public by head coach Lionel Scaloni just days after the 36-year-old had scored in the 1-0 game against Ecuador.

The rumour mill continued to dive into overdrive as fans speculated on whether Messi's mystery fitness issue would eventually rule him out of Inter Miami's upcoming match against Atlanta United.
Now, due to his recent social media update, it’s believed that the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has remained in Miami and has not travelled with the rest of the team to the Mercedes-Benz stadium.
On Friday, Messi took to Instagram to post a peculiar-looking pizza he had picked up from Banchero Miami - an Argentinian pizza restaurant located on Miami Beach.

As Inter's official Instagram account has also failed to upload a picture of the midfielder arriving in Atlanta alongside the likes of Sergio Busquets and DeAndre Yedlin, it’s assumed that he will play no part in the forthcoming game.
While fans are seemingly not roasting Messi for putting his health before the MLS game they have taken to social media to discuss his questionable pizza order.
In an Instagram video shared with his 487million followers, Messi showed off a 'healthy' pizza topped with fresh tomatoes, green olives and rings of raw onion.
Stills from the video have been posted to Reddit and X which has sparked a frenzy within fans.

Elsewhere, one X user claimed the dish was ‘the healthiest pizza in the world!”
Another commented: “Cursed looking pizza.”
“What in Italian is that thing? And the irony on the box ‘la verdadera pizza,” said a third.

Another Italian took to social media to write: “I'm Italian and I'm disgusted.”
