He may have turned 48 this year but Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham delivered a free-kick even Lionel Messi would have been proud of during a recent kickabout at the DRV PNK Stadium.
Beckham was in the stands at their home in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday night as Inter Miami secured their place in the knockout stages of the Leagues Cup with an empathic 4-0 win over Atlanta United.
Lionel Messi, who recently joined The Herons following his much-talked-about exit from Paris Saint-Germain, netted a first-half brace for his new club.

Finland-born midfielder Robert Taylor soon put the game to bed as some of the world's biggest musicians, including P Diddy, Camila Cabello and DJ Khaled, watched on.
It has been a hectic couple of weeks for Inter Miami and their owner David Beckham, who still found some time to score a wonderful free-kick at the DRV PNK.
In fact, as you can see from the footage above, Beckham beat the goalkeeper from just outside the area after performing his trademark run up and strike.

When posting the clip to his official TikTok page, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy midfielder used the caption: "Guess I'm coming back [laughing emoji]."
As you can imagine, social media were quick to react to both the free-kick and his caption.
One fan wrote: "Come back for one more season please," while another commented: "Beckham could still play for Inter Miami... who agrees?"
A third said: "Watching that Messi free-kick on his debut inspired Beckham."

A fourth added: "Bro really should un-retire just for one game to come on as a late substitute to play with Messi, not going to lie."
Messi's arrival to Major League Soccer is arguably the biggest to date, and soon after the deal was officially announced, Inter Miami co-owner Beckham opened up on the 'dream' signing.
"Ten years ago, when I started my journey to build a new team in Miami, I said that I dreamt of bringing the greatest players in the world to this amazing city," he said.

"Players who shared the ambition I had when I joined LA Galaxy to help grow football in the USA and to build a legacy for the next generation in this sport that we love so much.
"Today, that dream came true. I couldn't be prouder that a player of Leo's caliber is joining our club, but I am also delighted to welcome a good friend, an amazing person, and his beautiful family to join our Inter Miami community.
"The next phase of our adventure starts here, and I can't wait to see Leo take to the pitch."
