Micah Richards named Thierry Henry as the greatest French footballer of all time, prompting a hilarious reaction from the Arsenal legend.

Earlier this season, Richards, Henry and Jamie Carragher debated which France international would go down as the greatest in history, while covering a night of Champions League football for CBS Sports with host Kate Abdo.

Richards and Carragher, perhaps unsurprisingly, failed to see eye to eye, while Henry was too modest to name himself. Check out the exchange below:

Abdo: Alright Micah, who is the greatest French footballer of all time?

Richards: You know that already. Titi [Henry].

Carragher: What? No he’s not!

Richards: Are you going to say…

Carragher: [Zinedine] Zidane!

Richards: No, no, no… you’re disrespecting Titi!

Carragher: He [Henry] knows that. It’s Zidane isn’t it?

Richards: Don’t disrespect Titi like that!

Carragher: I’m not disrespecting no one.

Henry: Let him answer the question!

Abdo then calls Henry by his surname, prompting the entire panel to burst into laughter.

Henry: Woah, I got called Henry! It’s time to go!

He then proceeds to answer the original question about who is the greatest French player of all time.

Henry: It’s a tough one for me because I grew up idolising, being French, [Michel] Platini. But I have to go with Zizou.

Abdo: Over Platini? Because?

Henry: Because we won together, we suffered together. We battled.

Henry and Zidane were both part of the legendary French side that won the World Cup on home soil in 1998 and the European Championship two years later.

Zidane won the Ballon d'Or in 1998 and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1998, 2000 and 2003.

Henry was runner-up for the Ballon d'Or in 2003 and FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004.

Platini, meanwhile, inspired France to victory at Euro 1984 and won the Ballon d'Or three times in his career, in 1983, 1984 and 1985.

Who do you think is the greatest French player in history? Let us know your thoughts.
