A fitness coach people thought worked with Mason Mount accidentally gave Manchester United fans hope about their first transfer of the summer, before clarifying what he meant.
It can't have been an easy few weeks for United fans, watching their rivals complete the Treble and win three Premier League titles in-a-row, the two achievements they could previously call their own.
At the same time they can't catch a break with their own good news as the sale of the club by the Glazer family continues to drag on into eternity.

Their waiting of Godot moment with the new owners certainly isn't helping their transfer aspirations, with Erik ten Hag hoping to bring in a striker.
A striker isn't the only position that United are looking to bring in and the manager is also expected to strengthen the midfield too.
Declan Rice is among the targets but the West Ham United star looks set to be involved in a battle of heart over mind between Arsenal and Manchester City.

However, his good friend Mount is expected to make the move from London to Old Trafford as the club continue to negotiate with Chelsea.
A fitness coach managed to send a few fans wild as he posted a picture with the Blues star on Instagram and commented: "Hopefully we get to see him winning games for United next season," with many assuming the coach worked with Mount.
"We know it's a done deal," said one fan.

"Agent Fitness Coach," joked a second, following Luke Shaw's own attempts at playing United agent.
A third replied: "Now that is outright disrespectful to Chelsea, but I love it. Ten Hag wants him, hope he gets him."
"He's twerking for us," commented a fourth supporter.
Referencing the 'winning games' line many thought it was a dig at Chelsea, with one adding: "His coach is cheeky."

And a final fan simply exclaimed: "Yeah, the deal is done!"
However, it appears it was all just one massive misunderstanding and coach James was asked if he'd 'just confirmed the transfer?'
In response he said, "I've got no idea where he's playing next season but as a United fan I'd like to see him here," sorry United fans.
He then continued on his Instagram story to confirm that he doesn't even work with the player, saying: "I mistakenly created a s**t storm with this.

"1. I'm just a football fan who asked for a photo and yes I'm a United fan myself. I've no idea where he's playing.
"2. I'm certainly not Mason Mount's 'fitness coach.'
"Apologies for anyone who's taken it the wrong way."
The latest blow for United fans...
