Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a loan deal for Besiktas striker Wout Weghorst.
The World Cup star is currently on loan at Turkish side Besiktas following Burnley's relegation to the Championship. Manchester United are thought to have a "deal in principle in place" with Burnley to sign the striker, according to Sky Sports.
But the deal can only be completed both Burnley and Besiktas agree to terminate the 30-year-old's contract at the Turkish club.

Erik ten Hag is thought to be aware of the complexities, with all parties thought to be keeping their options open should a deal not be made.
The Red Devils are in the market for a striker this transfer window, with Ten Hag seeking short-term alternatives to replace Cristiano Ronaldo following his departure to Al Nassr.
Weghorst has an impressive record this season, averaging a goal every two games in Turkey. A heroic brace in the World Cup quarter-finals adds to his appeal, levelling the scores against eventual winners Argentina after coming on as a substitute.
Manchester United close in on Weghorst
Fans have speculated whether the Dutchman has already played his last game for Besiktas, after he waved to fans when celebrating scoring his side's second goal against Kasimpasa.

Although, in a recent club statement, Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci insisted that "Wout Weghorst belongs entirely to Besiktas."
With Burnley seemingly dealt with, and Weghorst thought to want a move to Old Trafford, Manchester United must now get past the Turkish giants if they are to sign a 6ft 6in giant of their own this January.
Van Basten advises Ten Hag against Weghorst
Despite, Manchester United's interest in Weghorst, former Dutch legend Marco van Basten has urged Manchester United to look elsewhere.

The 58-year-old told the Metro that "he had many doubts" over the signing of Weghorst, believing former Barcelona striker Luuk De Jong may be a better fit.
Van Basten stated: "Take a look at Luuk de Jong. That is really a striker that you can play through the air. I don't think Weghorst is very strong in that regard.
"He can score a header, but he is more of a boy who can do something with his enthusiasm and force."
