Manchester United could replace Harry Maguire with one of his England teammate this summer, it has been claimed.
On Thursday, United were knocked out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage after a pitiful 3-0 defeat to Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
In the first leg, Erik ten Hag’s men threw away a 2-0 lead to draw, after Maguire and Tyrell Malacia claimed a pair of own-goals.

However, Ten Hag’s men stooped to new lows in the reverse fixture. The hapless Maguire’s error presented Youssef En-Nesyri with Sevilla’s opener just seven minutes into the second leg.
The error set the tone for an insipid performance, as Loic Bade’s netted Sevilla’s second and En-Nesyri profited off a David De Gea howler to claim his second and the La Liga side’s third.
Following the defeat a range of reports claimed Ten Hag was planning a squad exodus, with Maguire one of the players likely to leave in the summer.
Maguire to be sold?
With Maguire’s future in doubt, the Mail Online claimed United are keeping tabs on Fikayo Tomori, along with Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old has been a “standout star” according to the publication. Tomori has certainly been central to Milan’s fortunes in recent years and has played a key role in the Rossoneri’s run to the semi-final of this term’s Champions League.

Indeed, according to Stats Perform, since the start of the 2021-2022 season, Tomori ranks in the top 10 for Serie A defenders when it comes to successful passes, tackles won, blocks and possession won.
Meanwhile, he has also not made a single error leading to a goal, which will be music to the ears of United fans.

However, Tomori still has four years remaining on his Milan contract, and it would allegedly take a “huge offer” for the Serie A giants to consider selling the player, who has three caps for England.
