Fabrizio Romano has dropped a major update on France star Randal Kolo Muani, who has been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool.
L’Equipe have reported that both United and Liverpool are interested in signing Kolo Muani, who has netted nine goals in 19 Bundesliga games for Eintracht Frankfurt this term.
Indeed, United have been in the market for new strikers since the acrimonious departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last November. While they brought in Wout Weghorst from Burnley on loan in January, Erik ten Hag will likely look for more long-term forward options in the summer.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has been tipped to rejuvenate the entire Liverpool squad at the end of the season, having endured a tumultuous and unsuccessful campaign so far.
Given Roberto Firmino could leave at the end of the season upon the expiry of his contract, Kolo Muani would be a ideal replacement for the Brazilian.
Romano gives an update on Kolo Muani's future
Romano has claimed that Eintracht may look to keep Kolo Muani for at least another season, given the France international only arrived at the club at the beginning of the current campaign.

Speaking to CaughtOffside via his Substack column the transfer guru said: “I’m told Eintracht Frankfurt’s position is not clear yet.
“People close to the club feel they will insist to keep the player at least until June 2024, but it will depend on the proposals as always.
“The price could go up to €80million/€90million (£71million/£79million). Again, it depends on Frankfurt and whether they want to sell or not.”
Indeed, the sizeable asking price may be a deterrent for interested parties.

Kolo Muani became a household name in France during the World Cup after he came off the bench to score against Morocco in the semi-final.
Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps subsequently brought Kolo Muani on from the bench in the first half of the pulsating final against Argentina.
Despite seeing a last-minute attempt to win the game saved by Emiliano Martínez, he was just one of two French players to score in the shoot-out.
