Manchester United fans are convinced they have been trolled by Ajax star Jurrien Timber after they failed to sign him.
The 21-year-old was new United manager Erik ten Hag's top target in central defence this summer.

Timber was warned a transfer would impact his chances of making the Netherlands' World Cup squad however, with Louis van Gaal keen to stress how important game time was.
He decided to stay at the Amsterdam Arena and reported for pre-season training this week. Timber posted a picture of himself to Twitter with the Ajax badge in the background and his message reads: "Still here tho."
The post has quickly gone viral and supporters are saying the same thing.

One person commented: "You could've been the first signing instead of playing games like this."
Another said: "Should have backed yourself. You'd have been a starter at United."
A third tweeted: "Lol this guy owns United they're fuming."
While someone put: "Are you trying to upset us on purpose?"

Ten Hag gave Timber his professional debut in 2020 and the duo won two Eredivise titles together.
He made 43 appearances in all competitions last season and managed to score three goals from the back.
United have turned their attentions to other targets and Timber's Ajax teammate, Lisandro Martinez, is top of the list.

Martinez has informed the Dutch giants he wishes to play in the Premier League and is determined to move in this window.
Arsenal are interested in the 24-year-old, although United are said to be favourites.
Tyrell Malacia became United's first signing of the ten Hag era on Tuesday after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.
"It's an incredible feeling to have joined Manchester United. This is a new chapter for me, a new league with new team-mates and a tremendous manager leading us," Malacia told United's official website.

"I know from playing against his teams in the Eredivisie, the qualities that he has and what he demands of his players.
"Whilst I know that I am still young and will continue to develop, I can promise the United fans that I will leave everything on the pitch every time I pull on the red shirt. I'll always be thankful to Feyenoord for all they have given to me and my family.
"None of this would be possible if it wasn't for them. Now I'm ready to focus on the future with United, and help my new club achieve success."
Malacia is set to challenge first-choice left-back Luke Shaw for a starting place.
Discussions continue with Barcelona regarding a transfer for midfielder Frenkie de Jong, while Christian Eriksen has verbally agreed to join as a free agent.
