Manchester United are prepared for a summer bidding war for Goncalo Ramos, according to a report.
United have been in desperate need of a striker since the acrimonious departure of Cristiano Ronaldo on the eve of the World Cup.
The club have filled the position in the short term - bringing in Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst on loan for the rest of the season.

However, in the long term, United fans expect a bigger name than the 30-year-old Burnley loanee.
One player tipped to be on United’s radar is Ramos, who last month announced himself on the world stage by replacing Ronaldo in Portugal’s starting lineup before netting a hat-trick in the World Cup round-of-16 against Switzerland.
Ramos to United?
According to a Portuguese publication, O Jogo, United are interested in signing Ramos in the summer, but face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi-backed Newcastle United.
Ten Hag is said to be a big fan of the 22-year-old, with the report adding that there will likely be a summer bidding war for the player, who could cost in excess of £100million.

Last season, Ramos was Darwin Nunez’s understudy at Benfica, but still recorded seven goals and a further two assists in 29 league games.
However, as the main man he has gone up an extra gear, netting 11 goals and providing four assists in just 14 league encounters.
United interested in Osimhen?
Elsewhere United have also been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, though again, the club are said to face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle.

According to Italian publication Il Mattino, interested parties will have to pay an eye-watering £133million for the 24-year-old.
However, Napoli are eager to keep the striker, who has scored 12 goals in 14 Serie A games this season.
They will have a hard time convincing him to extend his contract beyond its 2025 expiry date. Osimhen has reportedly told his agents that he does not want to hold renewal talks with the Serie A leaders, which would put his suitors on high alert.
