Manchester United have made a loan offer for Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr teammate, Vincent Aboubakar, according to reports.
Erik ten Hag’s side have been trying to recruit a new striker since the acrimonious departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last month.
Currently, the Old Trafford club has only two senior players accustomed to playing the striker role - the in-form Marcus Rashford and the injury-prone Anthony Martial.

However, the club’s transfer plans seem to have been affected by the Glazer's attempts to sell the club and last summer’s massive £227million transfer spend.
In turn, United have been linked to a host of relatively cheap forward options.
Former player Memphis Depay, now with Barcelona, is one forward that has been touted, while Bayern Munich’s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and ex-Arsenal and Chelsea star Olivier Giroud are also thought to be targeted.
Aboubakar, Ronaldo’s strike partner at Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, has also been linked.
Aboubakar to United
According to Saudi publication OKAZ, United have made a loan offer for Aboubakar, though face competition for his signature.

The report lists the Turkish club Fenerbahçe as another possible destination for the player.
The Cameroon star, who turns 31 later this month, has netted an impressive 138 club career goals across spells in France, Turkey, Portugal and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, he has netted 35 times at international level, two of which came at the World Cup in Qatar.
Indeed, Aboubakar put himself firmly on the map last month, netting an exquisite chip in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Serbia.

The forward would be an ideal low-cost and short-term option for United, who are in “need” of a centre forward according to manager ten Hag.
