Manchester United's recent record against Everton is far from flattering, having not tasted victory in their last three meetings with Frank Lampard's side.
Erik ten Hag has lost both of his matches against the Toffees, making Friday evening's encounter particularly intriguing.
However, one particular Manchester United star just loves playing against them. French striker Anthony Martial has scored more goals against Everton than any other opponent, netting seven times in 14 encounters. That's a goal every two games.

His last goal against them came in a 1-1 draw back in October 2021. Should he start on Friday, it will also mean he has faced the Merseyside club more than any other side, barring Manchester City (also 15 times).
Martial sends frank warning
When asked about his exceptional record, Martial responded: "I must admit it’s not something that I watch closely but you’re right, I do have a good stats record against Everton, and I’ll be doing everything I can to keep that going," he told United Review.
“Clearly, this is not going to be an easy match. It is up to us to do everything we can to turn the match in our favour," Martial added.

He then spoke about the fans: "It’s always that bit better for us, playing at home, and with the 12th man of the supporters right behind us."
When discussing his favourite Cup memories, he chose his semi-final extra time strike against Everton in 2016 as his most treasured, which sent the Red Devils into the final and inspired them to later lift the trophy.
He stated: "I would say the semi-final match we played against Everton, which was an incredible game. It was just amazing and I would say it was one of the most memorable moments of my professional career."

Fans will be hoping for a repeat of 2016 this time round, with Ten Hag hoping to finally record a victory over his bogey team.
But it's not just pride on the line. Frank Lampard has come under fire following his 4-1 defeat to Brighton in the week, leaving his side in the relegation zone.
Should he see another poor result against Manchester United, the former Chelsea skipper may be shown the door.
