The injury suffered by Manchester United wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho against Southampton is believed to be worse than first feared, according to a report from Argentina.
Garnacho has been named in the Argentina senior squad for the first time for their upcoming friendlies against Panama and Curacao.
Those fixtures take place on March 23 and 28 - but Garnacho's participation in either of those games could now be in serious doubt.

Garnacho limped off the pitch in added time of United's 0-0 draw against Southampton on Sunday, following a challenge from Saints defender Kyle Walker-Peters.
He was then spotted outside Old Trafford on crutches after the game, sparking fears that he may have suffered a severe injury.
United boss Erik ten Hag appeared to quell those fears in his post-match press conference, explaining: "He was a little bit limping after the bad tackle.

"In the end they brought on another striker, a big and tall one [Paul Onuachu] and I don't want to go for risk, we were already downsized to 10 [men].
"I didn't want to go with players who were 90 per cent. That's why I called him off but I think it is not too bad."
Garnacho injury update reported
Argentine TV channel TyC Sports claim that Garnacho has undergone further assessment, which shows that the injury is more serious than first thought.

They allege that he is set to miss both of Argentina's upcoming friendlies, which would deny him a potential senior international debut were he to be selected.
Prior to those fixtures, United travel to Spain to take on Real Betis in the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie on Thursday. They then host Fulham in an FA Cup quarter-final tie on Sunday.
Diario Ole, meanwhile, claim Garnacho has suffered a sprain to an ankle ligament, and also say he could miss this month's international friendlies.
But United are yet to issue an official announcement on the extent of the 18-year-old's injury - and Red Devils supporters will be desperately hoping that the injury is not a serious one.
