Manchester City fans gathered in numbers as they welcomed their summer signings to the club, but their reception for Julian Alvarez left them being mocked by rivals on social media.
The Etihad club unveiled their summer signings Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega Moreno in front of fans who gathered outside the stadium. Kalvin Phillips missed the presentation due to illness.
Footage of City fans cheering Alvarez onto the stage has gone viral after rival fans mocked the slightly muted cheers and applause for the young Argentine.
Fans took to social media as they were not willing to pass up an opportunity to mock City fans.

An exciting season ahead for City as they look to defend their Premier League crown and push for the elusive Champions League trophy. Will Pep Guardiola finally win Europe's premier club competition with City? Only time will tell.
