Manchester United have sent scouts to watch Roma striker Tammy Abraham on the weekend, according to reports.
United are in desperate need of an elite number nine this summer, with Wout Weghorst failing to fill the gaping hole left by Cristiano Ronaldo's acrimonious departure.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has emerged as Erik ten Hag's priority target, who is entering the final year of his contract at Spurs.

However, United have cast a wide net over potential options, with Abraham the next name on a list seemingly growing by the day.
The 25-year-old has impressed since joining Roma in the summer of 2021 from Chelsea, most recently scoring in the Serie A giants' 1-1 draw against AC Milan on Saturday.
Abraham to Man Utd?
Old Trafford scouts were in attendance for Roma's draw on the weekend, as Ten Hag weighs up a summer move for the Englishman.

Indeed, Italian news outlet Gazetta claim that their presence is 'nothing new', stating that 'United scouts have been spotted several times in the Monte Mario stand'.
The report adds: 'On each occasion - the reason for the presence of the English scouts has never changed: to view and evaluate Abraham's performances.'
While Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be keeping tabs on the number nine.
However, much like Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Kane, Abraham is unlikely to come cheap this summer.

Chelsea inserted an €80million (£70m) buyback clause in his contract which would allow the Blues to bring him back to west London this summer.
But even if they turn down the offer, Roma are required to inform Chelsea of any bids they receive for Abraham. While the Italian club are likely to demand in excess of £70m for the striker.
