Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move away from PSG - and his future could end up having a knock-on effect on Manchester United.
The 24-year-old forward presented a formal letter to his current club on Thursday confirming he would not trigger an optional year's extension in his contract, which will end in 2024.
The Frenchman later confirmed on Twitter that he was happy at PSG and would be staying next season.

However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the French giants will not allow him to leave as a free agent - which raises the possibility that they may decide to sell him.
Real Madrid appear to be in pole position to seal his signature if he does depart Parc des Princes, especially given the impending departure of club legend Karim Benzema.
United and Liverpool have also been linked with the player - but regardless of his next destination, Erik ten Hag's side could be impacted.

Here are three issues that an Mbappe departure will likely create for United.
New owner focus
At present, there is yet to be a publicly announced conclusion to the Manchester United takeover process.
Sheikh Jassim, through his Nine Two Foundation, and the joint proposal of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are battling to take over the club from the Glazer family.

Whoever does succeed will have to deal with several issues. One is related to finances - The Athletic state that United's initial transfer budget is around £100 million due to FFP restrictions.
The club can raise this by selling players, however. And if Mbappe goes elsewhere, there could be early question marks from supporters over the new owners' level of ambition.
Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford is yet to commit to extend his current contract at United, which also expires next summer.

Mbappe's departure would cause PSG to make his replacement a priority - and that could be the England international, who netted 30 goals in all club competitions this season.
PSG have held talks with Rashford over a potential move in the past, with The Athletic claiming he turned down a mega-money deal to join them in 2021.
If Mbappe does leave, there is almost certainly going to be renewed speculation over Rashford's future at Old Trafford.
Harry Kane boost
Mbappe's next club is yet to be decided - although a move to Real Madrid would give United a boost in their pursuit of Spurs star Harry Kane.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claimed last week that the 29-year-old is top of Real's wanted list to replace Benzema.
If they move for Mbappe, it would give United boss Erik ten Hag renewed hope to seal a move for one of his key targets. But there is still Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to deal with - and he reportedly wants £100 million from English clubs in order to part company with Kane.
