However, It is thought United will try to strike a deal worth around £50-60m for his services, knowing Chelsea are under pressure to sell players this summer after spending £600m this season.
While separate reports have suggested United could use club captain Harry Maguire as part of an exchange deal for Mount.
Maguire, who cost £80 million four years ago, is allegedly valued at £30 million by the cub, despite falling down the pecking order under Ten Hag.
Therefore, United could offer Chelsea a player-plus-cash deal to land Mount which includes Maguire and £40m.
