Manchester United star Luke Shaw limped off during his side's 1-0 win over Brentford on Wednesday with a suspected hamstring problem.
United boss Erik ten Hag could not confirm the severity of the injury in his post-match press conference, and stated that the Red Devils face an anxious wait to determine how long the defender will be out of action for.
He told MUTV: "In this moment, I can't give something about it because we have to wait for 24 hours. Then you can make the right diagnosis. So I don't want to comment in this moment.

"I can't say in this moment. I wait for tomorrow what is the diagnosis. I took him straight off and didn't want to risk [it]. But we have to wait for the outcome."
Any prolonged absence would be a major blow for United, with the left-back having recently signed a new contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford until 2027.
Despite a period out of the first team in the early part of the season, with Tyrell Malacia taking his place, Shaw has since reclaimed his spot in the XI.

And whilst Malacia is likely to replace him if he is unavailable, Ten Hag could call upon an alternative if required.
Ten Hag could call upon Diogo Dalot to replace Shaw
One option for Ten Hag is Diogo Dalot, United's current first choice option at right-back.
The Portugal international has been a consistent starter this season on the right side of defence, and has largely kept Aaron Wan-Bissaka out of the team after the ex-Crystal Palace player returned from injury.

If Malacia is also unavailable, Ten Hag could turn to Dalot to play at left-back.
He played the role in a 2-1 win over Brighton in January 2019, producing an impressive display and assisting Marcus Rashford's winning goal.

Although it isn't a role that he has fulfilled on many occasions since, Dalot told United's official website after the Brighton match that it was a position he was comfortable playing in if necessary.

He explained: "I feel comfortable in every position, as long as I can play.
"Players at Manchester United need to know what to do in every position and I was very comfortable and it was good for me, yes."
Should Dalot switch sides for United in such a scenario., Ten Hag could elevate Wan-Bissaka to a starting spot during United's busy schedule as they head towards the end of the season.
