Manchester United starlet Alvaro Fernandez has revealed details of the 'incredible proposal' that convinced him to join the club from Real Madrid in 2021.
Fernandez arrived at Old Trafford after turning down a new contract with Los Blancos, and began his time at the club in the U23 setup.
The Spanish youth international went on to win the U23 Player of the Year award, a fine reward for his performances as an attacking left-back.

At the beginning of the current season, Fernandez was loaned out to Championship side Preston North End, where he continues to showcase his talent.
Playing primarily as a left wing-back in manager Ryan Lowe's system, the 19-year-old likes to run with the ball from deep and cut inside into central areas to affect attacking moves.
During Wednesday's 0-0 draw with Coventry, he produced a superb piece of skill to beat three defenders before squaring the ball to Daniel Johnson on the edge of the penalty area.

If manager Erik ten Hag includes him in the first team squad next season, Fernandez will be hoping to challenge Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia for a spot in the first team.
And the young full-back has revealed what convinced him to join the club in the first place.
Fernandez reveals 'incredible' Man Utd offer
Speaking in an interview with Spanish outlet AS, Fernandez explained how an 'incredible' offer from United aided his decision to depart Spain and move to a new country.

He explained: "What I wanted was to grow in football, and United came up with an incredible proposal for the future.
"Thank God I'm now on loan for a second, with a United first-team record. Luckily it wasn't bad for me. [United offered to] start now with the subsidiary soon. I wanted to play with adults and I'm already playing in the second English [division] at 19 years old.
"At Christmas [2021] I started with the first team and I was with them until the end of the season, when I was called up for a game. The first day was incredible. It was also the time when Cristiano Ronaldo had just returned."
Fernandez appeared on the bench for the final four Premier League games last season, but did not make his first team debut.

At the end of his PNE loan spell, he will hope to have done enough to convince Ten Hag to give him that opportunity again next season.
