Marcus Rashford is on the cusp of agreeing a new Manchester United contract, it has been claimed.
Writing in the Guardian, Fabrizio Romano and Ed Aarons claimed United are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Rashford over new long term deal, with the England forward expected to become one of the club’s highest earners.
The 25-year-old, who netted England's third goal in their Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia on Monday night, is about to enter the final year of his current United deal, which is reportedly worth some £250,000 a week.

Yet after a career best season in which he has claimed 30 goals in all competitions, Rashford is expected to earn a hefty pay rise.
Indeed, according to the publication talks between United and Rashford's representatives are nearing their conclusion.
The attacker has long been linked with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, but he is said to be happy with United's progress under Erik ten Hag.

Securing Rashford to a new contract would have been one of Ten Hag's priorities this summer.
However, the club have been tipped to do plenty of business in the off-season in an attempt to get closer to the quality of Premier League runners up Arsenal and treble winners Manchester City.
United are reportedly set to raise their bid for Chelsea's Mason Mount to £50million.
Meanwhile they are in the market for a new striker, with Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Højlund having all been linked.

Of course, the Old Trafford club have allegedly ended their interest in signing Kane, with Tottenham's asking price of more than £100million having been deemed too expensive.
United are also likely to baulk at Atalanta’s £86million pricetag for Højlund, according to Romano.
