Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been dealt a major summer transfer blow due to ongoing takeover talks, a report has revealed.
Currently, two public bidders are in the running to buy the Red Devils but both bids still fall short of the Glazer's £6bn valuation.
Any takeover could be in jeopardy if it's not completed before the end of the season with both Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe set for talks with the club in the next two weeks.

The saga is having a direct impact on Ten Hag's summer transfer plans as he looks to continue the rebuild following United's 7-0 thrashing to arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
According to Football Insider, the Dutchman wants to sign three marquee stars to help him build success but 'he has been told finances at the club are tight'.
Since the club has been put up for sale their lack of spending on the field has been clearly visible with only loan deals agreed in January.
If United are to keep their momentum going then they need a takeover to be completed soon.
Who could they sign?
Whilst the report didn't reveal what stars United are interested in signing in the summer, they have been linked with several players from across Europe.

Since the controversial departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, it's been clear that a long-term gap up front needs filling.
It has been plugged temporarily by Wout Weghorst who joined on loan in January until the end of the season, but it still remains an issue.
United have shown a lot of interest in Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane but it was recently revealed that he would cost £100m despite his contract expiring next year.
It's a lot of money for a player who turns 30 in July so Ten Hag might be forced to look elsewhere.

The club's defensive frailties were also highlighted in the Liverpool battering and provided a reality check that United still need to strengthen across the board.
