Erik ten Hag is lined up for a reunion with three of his former players as Manchester United plot a stunning raid of Ajax, according to sensational reports.
The United manager left Ajax last summer after leading the Dutch side to three Eredivisie titles and two Dutch Cups during his four years in charge.
Ten Hag, who engineered Ajax’s sensational Champions League run in the 2018-19 season, succeeded former United interim manager Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.

The United boss was reunited with former Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez after the Red Devils splashed out a £56.7m fee to sign him in last summer’s transfer window.
The Red Devils also paid a staggering £85m to sign Brazil winger Antony, who has been criticised for his consistency at United this season, from Ajax last summer.
The Sun now reports that United could plot another raid of Ajax, with Ten Hag facing potential further reunions with his former players at Old Trafford next season.

Jurrien Timber, who was previously linked with United after Ten Hag’s arrival, is among the Ajax players on the Red Devils’ radar.
The 21-year-old Dutch defender has impressed for Ajax and has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
Despite signing a new contract last summer -- a deal that would keep him at Ajax until 2025 -- United still have a firm interest in Timber ahead of the summer window.

Ajax right-back Devyne Rensch is also believed to be another top target for United, with Ten Hag holding his fellow Dutchman in high regard.
Rensch, who is under contract with Ajax until 2025, has made 76 appearances for the Eredivisie club since breaking into the first team in 2020.
Finally, a potential move for Kenneth Taylor could also be on the table for United, with Ten Hag previously working with the Ajax defensive midfielder.
Taylor has made 44 first-team appearances for Ajax and is under contract with the Dutch outfit until 2027.

Ten Hag has benefited from the arrival of Casemiro from Real Madrid last summer and the signing of Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.
However, the former Ajax boss could see the 20-year-old Taylor as a long-term prospect for United and reinforce his squad depth at the club.
