Video footage of Manchester United players taking part in a FIFA tournament in 2011 has emerged on Tik Tok, and fans can't get enough of it.

It's no secret that plenty of footballers spend their free time playing computer games, and perhaps unsurprisingly, their favourite game is EA Sports FIFA.

Even though they spend their working lives kicking a ball around a field and winning the biggest prizes in the game, some of the most famous players in the world also love to live out their dreams in a virtual format.

Some players play alone at home, some take on family and friends and some even stream their FIFA endeavors online.

However, while plenty of footballers play FIFA, it's rare that supporters get to see lots of them playing together.

Well, thanks to a video shared on Tik Tok, we now can.

The video shows Man United players sat around a TV screen in a hotel room. playing FIFA, during their 2011 pre-season tour of the United States.

Sat in the room and taking part in the tournament are a whole host of stars including Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Nani, Dimitar Berbatov, Ashley Young, Gabriel Obertan and Federico Macheda, as well as Rafael and Fabio da Silva.

The video shows Ferdinand dishing out digs and taking the mic out of his teammates as he and Rooney wipe the flaw with them during a FIFA doubled tournament.

For United fans the scene reminds them of better times, when Sir Alex Ferguson's side were regularly winning the Premier League and reaching Champions League finals.

But even for those who detest the Red Devils, the video evokes a sense of nostalgia for a time of grainy phone footage and playing video games with mates.

"When watching these kind of videos I always get a nostalgic feeling of wondering what was I exactly doing when this was being recorded," one person commented on the video.

One Tik Tok user related with the video, saying: "Fifa with the boys on tour in a boiling hot country. Doesn’t get better than that."

Another clocked the fact that Rooney was actually on the cover of that year's installment of the popular video game series.

"Rooney was on the cover of this Fifa. Mad to think he actually plays it too."

Another simply said: "Good old days."

With all the money in the game both then and now, it's nice to think that even Premier League footballers liked to get together with their mates and play FIFA every now and again.
