Manchester United have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Ajax over a deal for Lisandro Martinez.
The 24-year-old is expected to sign a five-year deal at Old Trafford with the option of a further year once he has passed a medical and agreed personal terms with the Premier League club.
"Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Argentine international defender Lisandro Martinez, subject to medical, to player terms being finalised, and to UK visa requirements," read a club statement.

United have agreed to pay an initial £55m fee for the defender with a further €10m (£8.5m) in potential add-ons, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Arsenal were also interested in signing the central defender, who stands at just 5 ft 9 inches, but he is now set to reunite with Ajax boss Erik ten Hag at United.
Martinez has made 118 appearances for Ajax, scoring six times, in his three seasons with the Dutch champions after joining from Argentine side Defensa y Justicia in 2019.
