European giants Manchester United head to Moldova to face Sheriff Tiraspol in Group E of the Europa League, with both sides looking for a result to take them a step closer to the competition’s knockout rounds.
Erik Ten Hag’s men have been able to turn around their fortunes in the Premier League in the last few weeks, and four consecutive wins against Liverpool, Southampton, Leicester and Arsenal leave United in 5th place, despite being in the relegation zone after their first two games.
Although they are on a good run of form, the Red Devils have been unable to transfer their impressive performances into Europe.

A second half penalty from Brais Mendez was the only goal in Real Sociedad’s 1-0 win at Old Trafford - a result that leaves the Manchester club third in their group.
It was a much brighter start for the hosts however, as they beat the Cypriot side, Omonia, 3-0.
Sheriff are also top of the Moldovan National Division with 17 points and an unbeaten record after the first seven games.
Whilst the 13 time Premier League winners are heavy favourites heading into the clash, Sheriff Tiraspol will undoubtedly provide a stern test.
